Crazy Bitch: Entry Three
An insane ex-girlfriend. A journal found. Published here and dissected by Jon for your enjoyment. Welcome back, friends, to “Diary Of A Crazy Bitch.”
September 21 –
“This weekend I went to a birthday party for the new dancer (edit by Jon: dancer = stripper), Stephanie. The other girls think she has potential but all I see is a trashy bitch with a bad face hidden by lots of Wal-Mart makeup. Her nose looks crooked and she has a gap between her front teeth. Also I’ve noticed a lot of stretch marks on her thighs and stomach, so everyone has to know she’s been knocked up at least once. She spent most of the party babbling about how much she’s overcome in her stupid little life. She got plenty of sympathy and lots of free drinks. Blah, blah, blah. Stupid bitch. At one point she was talking about how her last boyfriend broke three of her ribs. I saw that one of the other girls was tearing up and that made me really angry. I started squeezing my key chain and thought about what it would feel like to slip a key between my knuckles and punch a hole through her throat. Ugh…I fucking hate her.”
– This entry, I think, thoroughly conveys some of the driving forces fueling one woman’s deranged emotional psychosis. By initially establishing the new stripper as an economically, physically, and socially inferior piece of trash, she has – in her own mind – effectively dehumanized her. That she then labels her as having led a “stupid little life,” can be seen as the coup de grace (She AND her life are wholly insignificant). Therefore, any attempt by Stephanie to discuss the pain and misfortune she’s experienced, is absolutely nullified by the notion that no one should really give a shit. Once that’s been established, everything boils down to the following points: 1. It’s her birthday. 2. She’s using her birthday to get sympathy and attention. 3. Because she’s using her birthday to get sympathy and attention, she should be stabbed through the fucking throat with a key. Talk about the American Psycho of logical reasoning….
