Dear Jonny, Getting Fat…
If you wanted to get as fat, bloated and unhealthy as possible, as quickly as possible, what would you eat?
What a great question. Well, I’d make a point to ensure that every one of my meals was a combination of high-glycemic carbohydrates (starches/sugars), various forms of saturated fat, and an overabundance of sodium. I’d want my food to be dense with calories and trans fatty acids, and as devoid of nutrition as possible. That said, I’d probably snarf down pound after pound of batter-dipped, lard-fried french fries covered with obscene amounts of salt and gravy boats full of melted margarine, all washed down with cup after cup of warm water into which I’d dissolved equal amounts of white sugar and corn syrup. Or I’d just stick to McDonald’s.
